What are android working on at the moment ?

Microsoft Office

Microsoft have announced that they will be releasing the Office suite as an app on google and Android platforms. Many people use the Office suite regularly on their PC's and the prospect of using Word, Excel and Powerpoint on the move without having to use a third party app will be an exciting one for many people.

White HTC One S Special Edition

The phone is exactly the same as the usual HTC One S with one small difference; it is white and has been named 'Snow-White' by HTC. It has made a massive jump from only having 16GB of Internal storage to now having a whopping 64GB. It's a special edition phone that is only available in Taiwan, and there are no plans for releasing it in the UK right now.

PadFone 2

Asus have revealed that they are indeed releasing the PadFone 2, the sequel to the PadFone one which was released to a lot of buzz because of the interesting concept of the phone being integrated into the tablet. The quad core processor should provide faster surfing, and it also has a slimmer design. As usual with android phones the screen is bigger and better than its predecessor at 4.7 inches and 720p.  The 13 megapixel camera will provide high quality picture and video, and the docking design is slightly different for this version. The PadFone 2 sits flush in the dock as opposed to having a cover.

JellyBean update

Samsung have recently confirmed in a statement, that the Samsung Galaxy S2 Android 4.1 Jellybean update will be arriving in the last quarter on 2012, so we do not have to wait until 2013! The software comes with a new keyboard design, and expandable notifications amongst other things. In a press release it was also revealed that the LG Optimus LTE2 would be the first device receiving the update.
