Parental Controls for iPad

Make sure your child can't access anything on the iPad that you wouldn't want them to. Here's how to use its parental controls...
1- To enable child restrictions on your iPad, tap Enable Restrictions and choose a four-digit security code. This must be entered every time you want to make any changes to your settings.
2- Once restrictions are enabled, you can disable whole applications, such as Safari, YouTube and iTunes, forbid App Store installations, explicit music or podcasts, and switch off the location features.
3- Ratings can be tailored for specific territories, with options for Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Japan, New Zealand, the UK and the US - so wherever you are you can stay safe.
4- Choosing your home territory will let you pick from restrictions that match your local ratings. So, pick UK and you'll have movie ratings of U, Uc, PG, 12, 12A, 15 and 18 to choose from.
5- Likewise, in the UK you can allow all or no TV shows, or just those rated for 'Caution'. Music and Podcasts can be similarly filtered too.
6- You can choose six options for applications -Don't Allow Apps, 4+, 9+, 12+, 17+ or Allow All Apps. These match Apple's own ratings system.
