Knockball For iPad Review

This game is like a mix of a physics puzzler, Marbles and Pool. Players use one ball to knock the others off the table top in order to clear each level. Instead of a cue ball, players use a gold ball to either knock the silver balls straight off, around obstacles or into holes resembling pockets without the gold ball disappearing over the sides of the board or into any holes.
It's a simple premise but the challenges and puzzles are less so. Each level is made up of a configuration of silver balls, bumpers, and blocks. This is done via a simple pull back and release mechanic just like any Pool or Billiards game, however this can be done anywhere on the screen, not just behind the golden ball, allowing players to see the whole gameplay area without their fingers obscuring the view.
The physics are realistic and stable and not too distant from anything seen in a Pool/ Billiards game, so you know exactly what to expect. The visuals are good, though the traditional table top board look of the playing area is a little dull. The silver and gold balls stand out even if it's not "Bejeweled-stunning".
There are 100 levels and a lot of game to play that present a great range of different configurations and challenges requiring quick thinking. You'll also need a considered approach rather than a "smash this ball into this one" attitude.
